Mika Brzezinski, a co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," apologized on Friday for utilizing what she called "vulgar and hostile" dialect to portray Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

"It would be ideal if you enable me to state this up close and personal," she said live at the highest point of the 6 a.m. ET appear. "The term is raunchy and hostile and I am sorry to everyone, particularly the LGBTQ people group and to my partners."

She included: "I simply needed to state on camera, looking at individuals straight without flinching: I am incredibly sad."

Brzezinski made the hostile comment amid a portion on Wednesday about the supposed culpability of Crown Prince Mohammed receptacle Salman of Saudi Arabia in the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

She had censuring Pompeo's ongoing appearance on Fox News in which he maintained a strategic distance from inquiries regarding Prince Mohammed.

"Are the unfortunate redirections that we simply heard, when [Pompeo] showed up on 'Fox and Friends,' is that a loyalist talking, or a wannabe despot's butt kid?" Brzezinski inquired. "Dead genuine, I'm inquiring. Are these the expressions of a nationalist?"

Brzezinski's remarks drew analysis from President Donald Trump and the U.S. Represetative to Germany Richard Grenell, who is transparently gay.

She was sorry later on Wednesday through Twitter, saying she utilized an "Excessively BAD selection of words."
